4 Ways to overcome depression
This week on the blog I want to talk about some tips for overcoming depression.

I am sitting in front of my pc trying to decide what is the best way to go about writing this blog. So, I think I am going to list them then go in depth with them.
One: Read a book (distraction technique) Two: Get up and move your body (raising the endorphins) Three: Music and cleaning your space (active and productive) Four: look up a journal prompt or pick up a hobby (creative & excises the brain) Number one: Read a book My all time go to favorite because hello books rock. It is a way to distract your brain from your environment. It takes your mind to a new realm and magic comes from Knowlege. “Reading books benefits both your physical and mental health, and those benefits can last a lifetime. They begin in early childhood and continue through the senior years.” This quote comes from this article: https://www.healthline.com/health/benefits-of-reading-books
Number two: Get up and move your body I won’t lie I fallen out my workout habit. But I do move my body a lot while I am at my nine to five job. I am constantly on my feet at work. So, when I get home, I sit down and relax. But I plan to get back into a routine of working out once my ankle heals from being sprained almost to the six-week mark of being in my brace.
Number three: Music and cleaning your space I love to put on music to clean. It makes me work faster but enjoy what I am doing at the same time. “Listening to music benefits us individually and collectively. Here’s what research tells us about the power of music to improve our physical, mental, and emotional health. Researchers think one of the most important functions of music is to create a feeling of cohesion or social connectedness.” This quote is from: https://www.healthline.com/health/benefits-of-music
Number four: Pick up a hobby or journaling I love to write journals, and I also love to create art. So, this one shows the creative side of my brain. I am going to suggest looking at some journaling prompts for depression. Pick up a new hobby or better yet work on a hobby you stopped doing for a while. Art I Have done recently:
