This week I find myself on Tuesday having forgotten to post my art YouTube video. I quickly just did a edited video of a artwork photo dump.
Art block is a situation that many creatives face where they find themselves unable to generate new ideas or create work. This can be incredibly frustrating, especially when there is a deadline or other pressure. However, there are ways one can get through an art block.
One of the most effective ways to overcome art block is to step away from the work for a while. This could mean taking a walk, reading a book, or even spending time with loved ones. The aim is to clear your mind and relieve stress.
Another method is to seek inspiration from other sources. This could be looking at other artists' work, visiting a museum, or even watching a movie. Exposing yourself to different forms of art can stimulate your creativity.
Lastly, try not to be too hard on yourself. Art block happens to everyone and it's a normal part of the creative process. Remember that it's okay to have off days and that creativity can't be forced.
Remember, art blocks are a natural part of the creative process. Embracing them and finding new perspectives within your established style can lead to unexpected and exciting breakthroughs.
So, my method to get through this art block will be to take today and maybe Wednesday off from working on art and watch a movie with art as the main theme.
