Today I am working on a new project but I'm not ready to start sharing it because I still sketching out the thumbnail. So, I will talk about why I create art and how I talk to myself to make art.
Let start with why I create art because the answer is simple. I start to cope with my bipolar and PTSD. I am working on trying to be more upfront with my mental health because I don’t want it to seem like sunshine and rainbows all the time. In 2013 I was diagnosed with PTSD and when I turned 18, I was then diagnosed with PTSD and Bipolar. In 2017 I pick up a how to draw book pickup and art kit from Walmart and starting doodling. Here we are going on 4 years this November.
How I taught myself to make art.
I going to share three things I do to teach myself.
1.) I use how to draw books and Pinterest step by steps.
2.) I watch YouTube.
3.) Lastly, I just practice free handing things and improving on them.
I going to go more in depth on each of these.

I be honest I have no idea the first art how to draw I picked up was but I remember it was drawing flowers. I use Pinterest step by step images when I want to draw something new and can’t see it in my head.
I watch YouTube. I going to share the three main artist I watch and follow-on YouTube. If you want to follow my art YouTube link will be at the bottom of this post.
I always seem to watch drawingwiffwaffles and end up drawing myself. ErikaLancasterart is my jam to watch for tips and tricks also a great place to read art blogs from.
