Artists trading cards

Updated: Dec 10, 2019

I say about a week or so ago I saw a video of a YouTube artists I follow making what is known as artists trading cards. I have been in a sorta creative funk lately. I had an a idea planned out but have decided to finish that another time so here begins a new idea. I first did a thumb nail and work on getting the size how I wanted it. I decided on 4 1/2" by 3" so smaller than a post card. My next thought was I want to add a quote so I chose a quote (picture below).

(Source: Google searched Johnny Cash quotes.) Then I decided to draw a Lotus flower as the main part of the card. I so sketched that out to see how it would fit. Finally I made the finished card and then my to much gene kicked in so it got a bit messed but not all art is perfect right. If you guys like this concept of me doing artists trading cards I would love to make it into a series.

(A funny side note is I now I noticed my pen stared to go out.)

The tools I used to make this master piece are a black sharpie, a black ultra fine point sharpie, and these BooQool fineliner triangle pens, also a wooden penicl. (Picture below)
